FAQ
Most chain wax is built with dry conditions in mind, and the protective film breaks down faster once the roads turn wet, which is why it often needs reapplying far more frequently in rain. All Season Wax is a separate formula, developed specifically for changing weather, so it holds up in both dry and wet conditions without you needing to switch products partway through the season.
Flaking is usually a side effect of dip or hot-melt waxing systems, where a thick layer builds up and cracks off under movement. All Season Wax is applied the same simple way as Chain Oil: wipe the chain, apply to every link, let it set, ride. There's no strip-melt-dip process, so there's nothing built up to flake off in the first place.
That reputation mostly comes from the hot wax dip waxing process, degreasing the chain, melting the wax, then dipping it before it can be ridden. All Season Wax keeps the process itself simple: wipe the chain down and apply, no degreasing or melting involved. It still needs an overnight cure to harden properly, but there's no dip cycle behind it, just a straightforward wipe-and-apply process.
Most chain wax is a dry-weather product, which is why riders often switch between a summer wax and a winter oil or lube. All Season Wax was developed specifically to cover both dry and wet conditions in one formula, so there's no seasonal switch needed. That's different from our Chain Wax, which stays the lighter, dedicated option for dry and lightly damp conditions specifically, so the two products serve distinct conditions rather than overlapping.
